Modern Farmhouse: Michelle Lane

Modern Farmhouse

This elegant, modern farmhouse showcases modern design elements fit for the classic family. Modern farmhouse style may not be my personal preference, but I sure enjoyed making this dream come true for my client. The home is oozing with natural light and this open concept will truly amaze you when you see it. This home was built for a family that loves to entertain!

Fireplace Interior Design

Exterior

The exterior of this home was built using old Texas, mid-century modern black brick. With the brick’s neutral, gray and white tones, it was a gorgeous selection for any family’s humble, farmhouse abode! The glow at night is absolutely beautiful with all 17 of these up-down sconces we incorporated.

Foyer

A simple foyer with windows that mimic the design of the exterior doors. Along with the unique horizontal window design and these gorgeous wood floors (American Hickory Natural Wood) guests have an eye-catching, but simple, first look at this divine farmhouse.

Living and Dining Room

With our open concept floor plan and no staging,  this room extends across the length of the house to create a large, spacious, area for activities and entertainment! The dining room, living room, and kitchen are all incorporated in this huge space! All white walls are painted BM Chantilly Lace.

The crisp white walls alongside the contrasting black built-in entertainment center, and this rustic Texas brick really makes all these modern farmhouse dreams come to life!

You may recognize this brass vase from my own home, be sure to check out it out in this post! The waterfall countertop is what set this fireplace apart. Also, please look at the natural light pouring in!

Kitchen

I love how beautiful this kitchen turned out! The black cabinets are finished in BM Black Satin with a satin finish. To keep your costs low use an oversized subway tile and use this dramatic pattern to create drama.

Wood floating shelves and these double sinks were a subtle, but fabulous touch to this kitchen.

Office

You can’t go wrong with barn doors in a farmhouse style home! These sliding French barn door, lead to the office! I love the black iron details of the doors against the white wood!

Master Bathroom

This master bathroom was so much fun to design! This dynamic bathroom was completed with the continuing black, white neutral color scheme, a gorgeous wet space, and matte black hardware to give this room the polished, fresh look the clients were going for!

Before I take ya’ll through this awesome bathroom I want to show you these close up of the door hardware used throughout the home. I don’t want anyone to miss how important the simple details are.

Less is more in this stunning bathroom! The wet space is the main feature of this bathroom! We included a larger soaker tub inside the shower to maximize this small space!

In this walk-in closet, we included a ton of built-in storage for this his and hers closet that will make your jaw drop! I designed this oversized shadow box complete with lighting inside to display the wedding gown and shoes for years to come.

This modern farmhouse is full of simple details, neutral tones, and LOTS of beauty! I really enjoyed time getting out of my comfort zone while designing this home. Always remember to mix up styles and be unique with your projects. Make your mark!
