There are some things that I just can’t live without. Family, friends, food and water!!–we’ll talk about that in another moment. And then there are some things I choose to not live without; hints my favorite finds…my must haves. Every Friday I’ll be listing a few of my favorite items and/or new finds that are just too good to keep to myself.
To start things off below are this weeks favorites!
Mary Kay Mascara
I’ve been using this brand for years. I will probably never switch Mary-Kay and I get it from my mama. No really….she sells it 😉 (click for the link to her website).
dpHue Hair Products
My hair, ya’ll. It is not actually a favorite thing of mine, but this dphue shampoo and conditioner make it work. The Apple Cider Vinegar Hair Rinse by dpHue is used when I feel like I need to wash my hair before I am “due” for my regular wash. When we don’t have major plans for the weekend I wash every 9 days or so, otherwise I wash my hair approx every 7 days. The Apple Cider Vinegar Leave-in Hair Therapy is something I use often. The ancient ingredient, ACV, gently removes impurities from your hair and scalp without stripping all the natural oils which is essential to your hair’s health. Sold yet? What if I told you that these products don’t even smell?! Sold!

Hair Styling
For styling, I use the Hot Tools 1″ Flipperless Gold Curling Wand. Yes, it’s really called Flipperless and yes you can (so do I) flip my hair when I’m done. And have ya’ll heard of Mythic Oil? It’s magical. It’s a nourishing oil that hydrates and help protect your hair from frizz. I linked where you can purchase it online, but I get mine from Tanglz Color Studio in Beaumont. Not only do I love Mythic Oil, but I also love love love using Pumpkin Oil. I apply this oil to my hair at night before my wash, and I also apply this on my face.

Drinks
Spicy drinks are a fav of mine. A spicy margarita to be particular. I found an amazing recipe that is not only easy, but healthy as well. Well as healthy as a margarita can get. Another favorite is wine. It’s my go to. I prefer red wine from Argentina and Chile when I can be super picky. I got a membership to Amazing Clubs as a gift and I’ll definitely be keeping up with it. It’s been amazing thus far.

And this Berkey Filter is life. I am a little picky with my water and want the purest water possible without all the heavy metals, toxic chemicals, minimal fluoride, etc. in it. Am I wrong in this?! We use this filter and it is amazing. The water tastes like, well….water. The filter really last and it’s just wonderful to taste real, clean, pure water.
Soap
I love washing with Dr. Woods Pure Refreshing Lavender Liquid Castile Soap with Organic Shea Butter (a super quick, easy, little short title for soap). It leaves my skin feeling so refreshed. I get it at my local HEB store but it can also be purchased from Amazon, of course.
Shops and Stores
After church on Sundays, you can almost always find my little family at McAlister’s Deli chowing down on sandwiches, soups and salads. We can’t seem to get enough hence why we are always there! Check out their menu and find one near you. You can even order online!!
And lastly, Homegoods, Nordstrom, and a local boutique furniture and decor store, Woodlands Unique, are just a few stores that have been occupying my time lately. If you have time you should definitely check them out. I find all kinds of random, unique finds that turn out to be my cherished items.
Share some of your favorites with me! I’m always looking for new things to buy and try and love a good rec!
